As a social media intern at SAKTII, I worked directly for one of our clients, Hydros. Hydros is a sustainable, small-business that offers a variety of different water bottles and vessels, all of which have filtration technology to ensure the consumption of clean and safe water. The three pillars I focused on and aimed content to fall into are sustainability, physical and mental wellness, and product.

Director of Public Relations and Marketing
UNC Delta Delta Delta Sorority

As the Director of Public Relations and Marketing I am responsible for leading both the social media committee and publication committee. I look over the brainstorming, creating, and posting processes for content for all social media platforms, as well as producing our chapter's newsletter that is sent out to parents and alumni. Two big goals I had is to transform our Instagram into a platform for social awareness and resources, and to ensure all social media platforms are cohesive and have similar messages. I have emphasized the importance of frequent activity on social media platforms to spur traffic and views, which in turn will potentially grow awareness surrounding the sorority and our philanthropy, social, and sisterhood events.

Alumni Relations Committee Member
Undergraduate Executive Branch of UNC Student Government

My committee aims to strengthen relationships between current UNC students and UNC alumni. The current project's main objective is to create real work opportunities for college students while in school, whether this is a short-term task such as creating a logo or more long term, such as a summer internship. My committee has partnered with Honors Carolina to expand the Go Anywhere platform, a platform that helps undergraduate students connect to UNC alumni through opportunities, mentoring sessions, or just by introducing themselves via email. While this platform is exclusive to Honors students, our committee is hoping to provide proof of concept so this platform can be expanded to all UNC students. My weekly task consist of contacting 50 UNC alumni to promote alumni engagement on the Go Anywhere platform, keep a record of alumni responses, and assist alumni with questions regarding the functionality of the platform.

Undergraduate Summer Intern
Ark Royal Wealth Management

As the Undergraduate Summer Intern I reviewed client’s expenses and created budgets, entered information in financial planning software, updated portfolio performance information and prepared client reviews. I was able to shadow the Managing Principal and the Client Service Consultant to gain a deeper understanding of the everyday responsibilities for both these positions. I kept track and reported how the market was looking each day and was encouraged to consider how changes in the stock market could have drastic impacts on a local financial advising company, like Ark Royal. I gained a basic understanding of investing and how each client has a different financial plan based on when they seek advising, what they want to gain from an advisor, and how much they are willing to invest.
